Cookie Policy

Manage your cookie preferences

Change or withdraw your choice at any time — the same dialog, with your current answer selected.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make a site work, to remember your choices, and to tell the operator how the site is being used. A cookie is either "session" (dropped when you close the browser) or "persistent" (kept for a set period).

This policy also covers technologies that behave like cookies, including local storage, which is where some of the preferences below are actually kept.

2. How we use them

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember preferences such as your theme, to record the cookie choice you made here, and to understand faults and usage. We group them into four categories. Only the first is set without asking you.

3. Essential

Always active. These are needed for the Service to work at all, and are set in response to something you did — signing in, submitting a form, or setting a preference. Switching them off would leave you unable to log in.

refresh_tokenKeeps you signed in without re-entering your password7 days
nodlow_cookie_consentStores the cookie choice you made on this page1 year

4. Functional

Optional. These remember choices you made so the Service comes back the way you left it. Turning them off costs you convenience, not access.

strategy_*Saves strategy builder state and preferencesSession

5. Analytics

Optional. These tell us how the Service is used and where it breaks, so we can fix it.

6. Marketing

Optional. These would be set by advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you advertisements elsewhere.

We do not currently use any marketing cookies. If that changes, this policy gets a new version before the cookies are set, and your existing choice is not carried over to a category you never agreed to.

7. Your rights

You have the right to be told what cookies we use and why; the right to refuse everything except the essential ones, before they are set; the right to change or withdraw your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it; and the right to ask what data we hold that was collected this way.

European law — the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules — requires this of us. We apply it to everyone, wherever you are, rather than showing a weaker banner outside Europe. Where your own country gives you more, you keep that too.

Withdrawing consent does not undo what was already collected while it was in force.

8. Controlling cookies

Use the cookie settings control on this page to change your choice at any time — it reopens the same dialog you saw on your first visit, with your current answer selected.

You can also refuse or delete cookies in your browser's own settings, or use an extension such as Privacy Badger or uBlock Origin. Blocking essential cookies at the browser level will stop you from signing in.

9. Contact

Questions about cookies, and any request about data collected through them, go to the address shown at the end of this page. Personal data is covered in more detail by our Privacy Policy.
